Legal matters are cross-tenancy isolation at its strictest. Archiet's generated backend defaults to matter-scoped authorisation guards on every endpoint — no query escapes its matter scope without an explicit admin-level override. Every override is logged.

Append-only audit log for every case action

Every mutation — document upload, case-note edit, party addition, document signature request — writes to an append-only audit log keyed by matter + actor + timestamp. Satisfies the 'who did what, when, to which matter' evidence bar that law-firm buyers and bar regulators expect.

SOC 2, GDPR, and e-signing compliance out of the box

SOC 2 Type 2 evidence lands in docs/compliance/. GDPR DPIA populates from the case, client, and document entities. E-signing integrations (DocuSign-compatible patterns) are wired with proper audit-trail storage so signed documents survive legal scrutiny.
